Ready Made Bougu Set Information

The major factor which determines the quality of a machine stitched Bougu set is the distance between the lines of stitching.  2mm Bougu will generally, if used at the same frequency, last considerably longer than 6mm Bougu.  This is because of the durability that the stitches lend to the material, which make it more resistant to the damage consistent with a strike from a Shinai.  The more distance between the rows of stitches, the more likely the fabric itself is to take structural damage, hence providing less protection and resulting in a shorter life span.  Also as the distance between the lines of stitching decreases, the components which go into all of the parts of the Bougu set increase in quality.  For details of the components which make up each part of the Bougu please see the product details.

Nine Circles holds a huge stock of machine stitched ‘Ready Made’ Bougu sets which are available in most adult sizes for immediate dispatch.  Delivery of these sets can usually be made within 2-5 working days depending upon your location.  These models are available as standard with the listed embroidery patterns and high gloss black Dodai (plate).  If however you do not fit into the size categories of the ‘Ready Made’ sets or you are looking to purchase a set with a particular embroidery pattern or with coloured Do plate then please see our ‘Custom Made’ range.  Custom made orders are shipped to us individually from our supplier and as such take approximately 6 - 10 weeks to supply. Please note that the cost of a custom made set is higher due to the shipping methods used.
