This special Shinai is carefully shaped to make it ideal for competition.  With the balance distributed mainly through the lower two thirds of the weapon and a slim Monouchi section, this Shinai is very stable, making it easy to control Tsuki, whilst maintaining the fluid manouverability of a Dobari Shinai for the ideal fencing makeup.
